Dispoz-o and Wilkinson Industries announce a new leader
Ft.
Calhoun, NE and Fountain Inn, SC
(June 24, 2009) Mid Oaks Investments LLC of Buffalo Grove, IL appointed
Joseph D. Lancia as their new president and chief executive officer
(CEO) of their recent merger, Dispoz-o/ Wilkinson Industries effective
June 23, 2009. Lancia was formerly president and CEO of Dispoz-o
Products of Fountain Inn, SC.
“Joe comes to us with substantial leadership capabilities and
remarkable business expertise, playing a major role in the successful
growth of Dispoz-o over the last 6 years,” said Wayne Kocourek, chairman
and chief executive officer (CEO) of Mid Oaks Investments. Lancia will
be responsible for operating and integrating the two successful
businesses.
Prior to joining Dispoz-o, Lancia served as president of Strategic
Investments, an international investment banking and financial services
firm. Shortly after joining the Dispoz-o team, Lancia hired a range of
additional executives. Rather than hiring from within the industry,
Lancia hired experts at each level from blue-chip manufacturing
backgrounds to bring diversity to Dispoz-o. This successful strategy
resulted in significant improvements throughout the Company including
expanded margins and productivity improvements.
In April 2009 the Mid Oaks investment firm acquired Dispoz-o Products
and merged it with food packaging manufacturer, Wilkinson Industries of
Fort Calhoun, NE who has been owned by Mid Oaks since 2004.
Both companies, Dispoz-o and Wilkinson, have long histories of
providing innovative, eco-friendly products and have earned reputations
of serving their customers well.
“Our
ultimate goal for the combined company is to create value for our
customers while providing a broader product selection that is driven by
innovation and sustainability, and to create ease of ordering from just
one manufacturer,” said Lancia.
